Flavour profile
Cherry with sherbet over it, and unusually for this range, the maker says so plainly. Ultimate describe a sweet cherry and fizzy sherbet mix, bursting with tangy ripe cherries and zingy sherbet, and list four notes on the page: cherries, sherbet, sugar and sweets.
Retail coverage is thin and repetitive. Two sellers carry word-for-word identical copy, a sumptuous fizzy cherry sherbet, which is one line of distributor text on two shops rather than two independent readings. A third publishes nothing flavour-specific at all. So the maker's own description is doing most of the work here, and it happens to be one of the clearer ones in the range.
Read it as a cherry sweet rather than a cherry. Tangy and zingy are the two words that recur, and the sugar is named in the notes.
One seller has the VG/PG the wrong way round
Worth flagging because it changes what device the bottle suits. One UK shop lists this flavour as 30 VG and 70 PG. Ultimate and two other sellers state 70 VG and 30 PG, which is the ratio the whole range is built on.
Seventy VG is what a sub-ohm coil wants. A 30/70 liquid in a sub-ohm tank would wick too fast and spit. The single outlier is a listing error, not a second version of the product, but if you have read that page elsewhere, it is worth knowing which figure this shelf is working from.
What you are actually buying
A full 120ml bottle, pre-nicotined at the strength you order. Nothing to add, nothing to wait for.
Ultimate sell this in Britain as 100ml of 0mg liquid in a 120ml bottle, leaving 20ml for two nicotine shots the buyer supplies. Same liquid, different transaction. One shop there also offers a paid ice cool upgrade on the nicotine shot, which is an add-on to the shot rather than anything in the base liquid.
VG/PG and the device it suits
Seventy VG, thirty PG, sub-ohm.
Cherry is among the first flavours to turn medicinal when a coil runs past what the liquid wants, and sherbet loses its edge in the same conditions. Both say the same thing: keep it lower than you would a dessert. A mod you can set properly, such as a VOOPOO Drag S2, earns its place.
Choosing 3mg, 6mg, 12mg or 18mg
Three and six for sub-ohm coils. The coil sets this, not the taste.
Twelve and eighteen are for tighter, higher-resistance coils. Cherry Ultimate Salts Sherbet 30ml is the same flavour at 50mg on a 50/50 base and is the right answer for a pod kit.
Practical notes
A sugared liquid shortens coil life. When the cherry starts reading as cough syrup rather than fruit, the usual cause is heat and the second is a tired coil.
No menthol is listed for this flavour, Koolada or any cooling agent. Zingy describes the sherbet.
Where it sits in the Ultimate range
One of two cherries arriving on this shelf. The other, Watermelon and Cherry Ultimate Puff Candy Drops 120ml, pairs it with watermelon over a candy base; this one takes the cherry alone and puts fizz on it. Sherbet against candy is the whole difference.
It arrives with Apple and Mango Ultimate Puff Sherbet 120ml, the two of them opening the Sherbet sub-range on the freebase shelf. The salt side already had both.
Buying and delivery
The single-fruit cherry, and the fizzier of the two new ones. Nairobi addresses get it the same day from Vapesoko Nairobi, nearby towns get it on early dispatch, and the rest of Kenya gets it in 1 to 2 business days.
Best for
- Tangy ripe cherry with a zingy sherbet edge
- A single fruit, where the other new cherry is a blend
- Uncooled, the zing is fizz rather than chill
- A 50mg Sherbet salt twin already exists
- One seller lists the VG/PG backwards; this shelf is 70/30
