Two hundred and twenty watts is the highest output in this catalogue, and it arrives with two obligations. You supply the cells, and you buy the right coil family: which for this device is GTi, not the GTX or GTL that VAPORESSO also makes.
Get those two right, and the rest is straightforward.
The cells
Two 21700 cells, or two 18650 on the adapter that comes with it. Neither is supplied. Buy them as a matched pair — same manufacturer, same model, same age — and keep them together for the life of the pair.
Two hundred and twenty watts across two cells asks for roughly 38A each, which no 18650 can genuinely deliver and only a strong 21700 approaches. Batteries sets out the sum and gives the tested discharge figure for each cell rather than the number printed on its wrap.
That has a practical consequence worth stating plainly: running this mod at its full output requires a cell that clears the threshold, and most people run well below full output anyway. Start from the wattage you actually use and buy for that.
GTi, and the two families it is not
VAPORESSO makes three separate coil platforms, and they do not interchange. GTi serves tanks, GTX serves pod mods, and GTL is a third again. VAPORESSO themselves state that GTi and GTX are not compatible.
This device takes GTi replacement coils. The tank listed alongside it here is the VAPORESSO iTank T at six millilitres; the tank supplied in the box has varied by market, so check what arrived before ordering glass or coils for it.
The mod has a 510 fitting, so other tanks will thread on. The coils listed here are for the iTank T.
What to fill it with
Three milligrams at 70/30, and nothing stronger, has a case at the wattages a GTi coil is built for. Nasty Juice at 3mg, Ultimate Puff 120ml at 3mg, and a finished Doozy E-Liquids 100ml bottle are the correct formats.
A six-millilitre tank at high wattage consumes at a rate that surprises people coming from a pod kit. The 120ml bottles are the practical size for a device like this rather than an indulgence.
Modes, charging and weight
The AXON chipset gives F(t), Pulse and ECO modes alongside temperature control for stainless, nickel and titanium. Charging is USB Type-C at 5V and 2A with onboard balance charging, though an external charger remains the better habit for removable cells.
The mod alone, without cells, weighs 186 grams. Add two 21700s, and it is a substantial object, worth knowing before it becomes a pocket device.
