There is no fire button on this device and no way to set the wattage. It draws to activate, and it reads the cartridge you have fitted and applies the power that the resistance calls for.
That has one consequence which shapes everything else about owning it: the cartridge is the only control you have. Change the vape, and you are changing the cartridge or changing the bottle, because there is nothing else to adjust.
The cartridge is the setting
A GPP cartridge with the coil sealed in, shipping at 0.6 ohms. It is on Replacement Pods, and there is no separate coil on this platform. Nothing on Replacement Coils fits.
Fit a higher-resistance GPP and the device applies less power and gives a tighter draw. Fit a lower one, and it applies more. You are not overriding anything; you are telling the device what to do by what you put in it.
Two things do adjust. A slider changes the airflow, and the cartridge can be loaded either way round, which changes the draw again. Between them there is more range than the absence of a screen suggests.
Which means the bottle is your other lever
With no power control, the liquid does more of the work than it would on an adjustable device. Twenty milligrams of 50/50 salt is the place to start — ELFBAR ELFLIQ 10ml or BAR Salts — and if that is more throat than you want, change the bottle before you change anything else.
ELFBAR ELFLIQ 10ml runs ten milligrams as well, which is the straightforward step down. A 70/30 freebase is the wrong format here regardless of cartridge; the wick cannot carry it.
What it tells you, and what it does not
A four-bar gradient LED that pulses with each puff. No screen, no puff counter, no wattage readout. The device does not tell you what it is doing because it is not doing anything you chose.
The cell is 1600mAh, sealed, charged over USB Type-C. UWELL publishes no input rating, so no charging figure appears here. Their stated figure is up to six days between charges, which is an estimate on their part rather than anything measured against how you vape.
Living with a device that has no controls
The upside is that there is nothing to get wrong. The downside is that when something feels off, the diagnostic path is short and specific: check the cartridge is seated, check it is not dry, then change the liquid or change the resistance.
Cartridge life still tracks the liquid. A GPP goes sooner on sweet bottles than on plain fruits, and with the coil sealed in, there is no smaller part to change.
