There is very little to decide about running an A3, and that is the appeal. One pod fits it, there is no wattage to set, the airflow does not adjust, and the only real choice you make is what goes in the bottle.

One pod, coil included
The A3 takes the Caliburn A3 refillable pod at two millilitres, and the coil is built into it. There is no separate coil for this device — you replace the pod complete when the coil in it is finished, which is on Replacement Pods rather than Replacement Coils.
That is worth stating because UWELL runs several Caliburn platforms and not all of them work this way. The G and G2 generations use an empty pod with a coil fitted into it by hand. From the G3 onwards, that coil lives sealed inside a GPP cartridge. The A3 is a part of its own again and shares with neither arrangement.
Fixed output, and what that decides for you
No wattage control, no airflow slider, no menu. A single LED shows charge across three colour bands, and that is the entire interface.
What follows from a fixed thirteen watts on a mouth-to-lung pod is the liquid. A 50/50 nicotine salt is the format, and twenty milligrams is the concentration this device is most often paired with. ELFBAR ELFLIQ 10ml and BAR Salts both sit there; ELFBAR ELFLIQ 10ml also offers ten if twenty starts to bite.
A 70/30 freebase is the wrong format for this pod. The thicker liquid is formulated for higher-power sub-ohm coils and may not wick reliably at a fixed thirteen watts, which shortens pod life.
Size, and who that suits
A hundred and ten millimetres long, twenty-one wide, under twelve deep, and thirty-one grams. That is close to the smallest end of what a refillable device can be, and it is the reason people choose it over something with more capability.
The trade is capacity. A 520mAh cell and a 2ml pod both mean more frequent attention than a larger kit would need — charging more often and refilling more often, in exchange for something that genuinely disappears into a pocket.
Keeping it going
Pods are consumables. Sweetened liquids finish one faster than plain fruits and menthols do, because sweetener coats the wick and the coil rather than passing through them.
Top the pod up rather than letting it run down. Firing dry is what finishes a pod early on any device, and here there is no wattage control to ease off with in compensation.
